The Detective Bureau assists the Patrol Division with all major crimes which occur in the town including:

Arson	Fraudulent Activities	Narcotics
Auto Thefts	Homicides	Robbery
Death Investigations	Runaways	Sexual Assaults
Employee Backgrounds	Kidnappings	Aggravated Assaults
Fatal Traffic Crashes	Missing Persons	Gathering intelligence for County, State, and Federal Law Enforcement agencies.

The Detective Bureau is also responsible for all investigations as directed by the Chief.

The Detective Bureau also acts as a Liaison between the Courts, County and

Town Prosecutors Offices, Other Local, County, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies .
